CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS
NOTICE TO MINORITY AND FEMALE OWNED BUSINESSES
Halverson Construction Co., Inc., 620 North 19th Street, Springfield, IL 62702, Phone 217-753-0027, is seeking qualified minority and female owned businesses for the City of Springfield Waterworks Improvements Project, Contract #2 - Clearwell, Contract Index No. Uw11-21 for subcontracting opportunities in the following scopes of work: DEMOLITION, EXCAVATION, CONCRETE, REINFORCING STEEL, TRUCKING, PAINTING, WATERPROOFING, LANDSCAPING, FENCING.
All wages paid to employees by the subcontractors under this contract are subject to the general prevailing hourly wage rates in Sangamon County involving public works projects, as per the provisions of the "ILLINOIS PREVAILING WAGE ACT".
All interested and qualified minority and female owned businesses should contact Deniz Piskin @ Halverson Construction, Co., Inc. IN WRITING (Certified Letter, Return Receipt Requested) at the above address to discuss possible subcontracting opportunities. Bids will be evaluated uniformly and objectively with subcontracts being awarded to the lowest, responsible bidder considered to be appropriately qualified and experienced, and whose bid is in accordance with the project plans and specifications. Applicants must be prepared to certify that their firm or the principals have not been determined to be ineligible to perform work under any federal or federally assisted construction for any reason. All negotiations are to be completed by no-later-than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 1, 2010.
